A parte un altro progetto di cui vedrete il risultato a dicembre, ecco a voi alcune tavole che ho realizzato per il nuovo catalogo della
Rev Jeans. Le pubblico su loro gentile concessione.
Il catalogo inizia con un fumetto nel quale è raccontata la storia dell'incontro di Viviana e Mattia...
vi allego matite e versione definitiva di due tavole, più la splash.

...the fact that my last post is dated last Christmas, doesn't mean that i was doing nothing till now...

Besides another project, whose results will show next december, here are some pages that i've made for new catalog of jeanswear company Rev Jeans, published by their kind permission.
The catalog starts with a comic telling the story of Viviana and Mattia.
Here are pencils and last versions of two pages, plus the splash page.

"Caos"

VARIABILITY, CHANCE, CAOS... THERE'S NEVER A CONSTANT!!!
I think that these words reflect the page of my new work "Broken Loop".
In the last few days i finished the pencils... after that i will begin a great work with the colors.
A visionary story, between what is reality and what is not.
Leopoldo Bloom Editore will publish this story next year.
I think i will posts other pages so you can know this world of visions, allucinations and homicides.
A Psycho-Thriller i hope people like it!!!:)



VARIABILITA', CASUALITA', CAOS....NON C'E' MAI UNA COSTANTE!!!
Penso queste parole siano in tema con questa tavola tratta dal mio ultimo lavoro "Broken Loop".
Ho finito in questi giorni le matite....e poi ci sara' un bel lavoro per la colorazione!!
Una storia visionaria, tra quello che e' realta' e quello che non lo e'!!
Sara' pubblicato per la casa Editrice Leopoldo Bloom per l'anno nuovo.
Postero' altre tavole per introdurvi in questo mondo di visioni, allucinazioni e omicidi.
Un thriller psicologico che spero piacera'!!!:)

Milo Manara Tribute

Finally Leopoldo Bloom Editore published the book "Vita e Donnine di Milo Manara" (Life and Women of Milo Manara).
If you remember i made a picture for this book, but a few days before the deadline i decided to change what i did.
The book is a biography of Milo Manara. At the end of the book you can find some tribute of some great illustrators and for an incredible coincidence i'm between them. Clearly for me was an honor.
You can find this book in the Editor's site (www.leopoldobloom.it) and in the italian bookshop.
You must have it!! :P



Finalmente e' uscito il volume "Vita e Donnine di Milo Manara" edito dalla Leopoldo Bloom Editore.
Io come forse ricorderete avevo gia' preparato un'illustrazione, ma 15 giorni prima della stampa ho deciso di rifarla!!
Il libro e' una biografia-intervista del Maestro Milo con alla fine tributi di molti grandi disegnatori, e per caso ci sono finita pure io! Per me e' stato davvero un onore!!:)
Il libro lo trovate in vendita sul sito www.leopoldobloom.it o nelle fumetterie e librerie!!
Hei....correte ad acquistarlo!!:P

SKETCHES

So many times we find ourselves alone.
Too many times I think that my life is dedicated only to work, to my
drawings and to my comics...and I think to so many things....yes...life´
s hard and full of obstacles, but we never have to give up! Life flows
and we have to do our best lo live it in a serene way, enjoying every
day even the smallest things and loving people close to us.

I wanted to show you some erotic sketches for a work they
commissioned me for from Germany.

They requested it in a Manga style, so I tried do do my best although
it was a long time since I was drawing in this style.

Tante volte ci troviamo soli con noi stessi.
Troppe volte mi trovo a pensare che la mia vita sia solo dedicata al mio lavoro, ai miei disegni e ai miei fumetti...e penso a tante cose....si...la vita e' dura e piene a di ostacoli, ma non dobbiamo MAI arrenderci!!!
la vita scorre e noi dobbiamo fare del nostro meglio per viverla in modo sereno, gioire ogni giorno anche per le cose piu' piccole e amare chi ci sta vicino!!
Con questo volevo farvi vedere degli sketch erotici per un nuovo lavoro commissionatomi dalla Germania.
Mi e' stato richiesto uno stile manga e cosi' ho cercato di dare il meglio di me stessa anche se era da tempo che non disegnavo in questo stile!!

March 29, 2008. Cartoomics!

Laura Braga, illustrator and colorist, wins the Second Edition of the "Woman Prize".

The clouds were disappeared, and suddenly i had all the lights on me!!
But i wasn't on stage... i was on a ring!
Still now i feel the applauses and the dazzling lights of the flashes...
A great emotion... Maybe too big for me.
I would like to than the "Committee for the Promotion of Women in Work" of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan and all the people who have believed in me.
Really a dream... A great emotion for an unexpected Prize.
For once no picture... i only wish to share with you this litte event. Little but for me big.
Than you all!!:)

Le nubi erano sparite, e di colpo avevo tutti i riflettori su di me!!
Ma non era un palco il luogo dove mi trovavo.....ero su un ring.
Ancora adesso sento gli applausi, e le luci abbaglianti dei flash!
Un'emozione grande ...Forse troppo grande per me!!
Ringrazio il "Comitato Promozione per L'impreditoria femminile" della Camera di Commercio di Milano e tutte le persone che hanno craduto in me e che mi sono state vicino!!
Un sogno....una premiazione arrivata all'improvviso e tanta emozione!
Per una volta niente disegni, volevo solo condividere con voi questo piccolo, ma grande per me, avvenimento!!

A Little Sky Doll Tribute!!!

In these days i was reading the new Sky Doll number. Sky Doll is a comic created by my friend Alessandro Barbucci and by Barbara Canepa.
Seeing a lot of different pencilers make pictures about the carachter of this series, i thought to make something too.
If Alessandro had to ever pass from my blog, i hope i like it.

In questi giorni stavo leggendo il nuovo volume di Sky Doll, serie creata dall'amico Alessandro Barbucci e da Barbara Canepa.
Vedendo cosi' tanti disegnatori diversi cimentarsi con i personaggi della serie mi e' venuta voglia di provare anch'io, nel mio piccolo, a fare un disegno in omaggio a questo fumetto.
Spero di aver fatto una cosa gradita ad Alessandro, se mai dovesse passare dal mio blog.

NEW COLORS!!!!

Hello everybody!!!
Finally a new post.
If you remember, the first issue of "Post Human" was published last year. Recently I started a collaboration with Vincenzo that in my opinion is a great colorist.
So, i asked him to re-color this old project with his skill.
You can see the result: for the moment it's only the first panel, but after the conclusion of this work i think that we will republish the first number of PostHuman together with the second.
I'm very curious to know what do you think about the new colors.

Finalmente un nuovo post!
Se vi ricordate, il primo numero di "PostHuman" e' uscito l'anno scorso. Recentemente ho iniziato una collaborazione con Vincenzo. Secondo me lui e' un grande colorista.
Cosi', gli ho chiesto di riprendere in mano questo vecchio progetto e ricolorarlo con la sua abilita'.
Potete vedere il risultato: per il momento e' solo la prima vignetta, ma dopo la conclusione del suo lavoro ripubblicheremo il primo numero di PostHuman insieme al secondo.
Sono molto curiosa di sapere che ne pensate dei colori.
